My friend... A company that has achieved success in the glass sector. It provides glass to many sectors. The company, which commissioned its second factory, pressed the button for products aimed at the end user while planning the third factory...
One of the most important companies in the sector that provides glass to industries such as automotive, lighting, white goods, Dostcam Cam A.Sh. It was founded by Faruk and Ferudun Donat, who started their business life in a small factory of 600 square meters in Yenibosna, Istanbul. In a short time, it achieved great success and started to produce glass to the leading companies of the sector, starting from the famous automotive company Mercedes Benz.
New factory investment
Dostcam, which provides glass to 75 percent of Turkey's lighting sector, has also taken action for end-consumer products. The company is managed by the other brother Ferudun Donat and the second generation, when one of the founders Faruk Donat lost his life in the flood disaster in Istanbul in September 2009. Currently, the chairman of the board of directors of the company is Ferudun Donat. The vice president is Tarik Donat. Ferudun Donat's son Mustafa and Faruk Donat's four children Tarik, Tamer, Nevin and Nevra Donat work at Dostcam. Dostcam Vice President Tarık Donat stated that they produce over 2 thousand 500 types of glass according to the size requested by the customer and says that they mainly give glass to the lighting, white goods, furniture, bathroom sectors. They produce heat-resistant, shock-resistant, printed and sand-resistant glass. Dostcam has a glass processing capacity of 800 thousand square meters per year. 25 years ago, it started its production in a small area and today it continues its production in two factories of 8 thousand square meters. It has two factories in Çatalca and Gebze.
Product for the end consumer
Sunday January In order to meet the needs of the market, Tarık Donat reports that they have completed their new investments in Dilovası Imes Organized Industrial Zone and increased their production capacity by 100 percent. Donat, although they give most of their production to the domestic Sunday, they also export 10 percent of it, stating that “You can see Dostcam's products mainly on the European continent and in many countries of the world”. Cerkezkoy October 2013 turnover increase will be 30 percent, noting that they are aiming for an additional 20 percent increase in turnover next year, Donat explains their forward-looking plans as follows: “We are thinking of investing in a new factory in Çerkezköy or Düzce in two years. In addition, we are becoming a Şişecam dealer as of January 2014. Dostcam has been operating as an intermediate product manufacturer until today. Dec. It was not producing directly to the consumer. We have started design studies for the final product production during this year. Calendar, soap dispenser and picture frame samples were produced. Design work is ongoing. However, after a short time you will be able to see the products produced with the Dostcam brand on the market. Pointing out that the most basic feature of Dostcam is quality, Donat said, “The secret to maintaining this quality for many years is research and development activities that never end. In the production process at the factory, especially with the R & D studies conducted under the leadership of Ferudun Donat, production is carried out with waste that is far below the standards of world companies. Dec. Instead of buying every machine needed, it is also possible to manufacture machines for the needs,”he said.
‘There is an explosion in glass demand’
Noting that there was a serious explosion of demand in the glass sector in the last quarter of this year, Tarık Donat makes the following assessment about the sector: “The improvement of the economies of the European countries where the most exports are made also has a big share in this. The sector realized exports of 956 million dollars in 2012. it will close 2013 with exports of more than $ 1 billion. we think this trend will continue in 2014. In addition, new applications are being started in the world and in Turkey, especially in the field of energy saving and safe glasses. ‘Solar and heat control glasses’, which are produced for energy saving and environmental purposes, save up to 50 percent energy and replace flat glass. If we also consider these new Sundays, we predict that the glass sector will experience a growth of over 10 percent in 2014. In addition, in the construction, furniture, white goods sectors, the weight of glass has increased significantly. Glass is the only product that comes from nature, is healthy and can be recycled one hundred percent.”

The ‘solar and heat control glasses’, which will replace the flat glass, provide energy savings of up to 50 percent and are produced for the environment.
